Privacy policy

What we know about you when you buy and use snow-ui Pro, why, and for how long. We collect as little as running the licence needs.

2. What we store, and why

When you buy

Payment is handled by [payment provider — to be added]. It collects your payment details and billing address under its own privacy policy; we never see or store card numbers. From it we receive your email address, the order and (if any) subscription identifiers, the plan and the number of seats.

Your licence

The licence server keeps, for each licence:

  • your email address, the plan and the number of seats;
  • its status (pending, active, revoked or refunded), when it was issued and when its updates end;
  • a one-way hash and the first 16 characters of your licence key — never the key itself;
  • the payment provider’s order identifiers;
  • notes support adds, for example about a refund or a new key;
  • a record of the payment events it processed (their identifiers, type and time), so that none is applied twice.

We need this to issue your key, give the registry access your licence includes, and handle refunds and support — that is, to perform our contract with you.

Downloads

For each licence, the server counts how many times each item was downloaded per day. The counts don’t say which project or machine downloaded it. We use the counts to support you and to notice keys that are shared or abused (our legitimate interest in protecting the product).

Server logs

Every request to the licence server is logged with its time, path, result and the IP address it came from. Lines about a licence or an order also carry its identifier, and registry lines the item asked for. The logs never contain licence keys. We use them to keep the service secure and working. Rate limits against key guessing and overuse count requests per IP address and per licence in the server’s memory, never on disk. We keep the logs for [log retention period — to be added].

Emails

We send your licence key, and messages about your licence, by email through [email provider — to be added]. We don’t send marketing email unless you ask for it.

This website

This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising trackers. If you choose a colour theme, your choice is stored in your browser’s local storage (snow-ui-pro-theme) and never sent to us. The hosting provider keeps standard access logs.

3. Who else sees it

  • The payment provider, for payments, refunds and tax: [payment provider — to be added].
  • The email provider, to deliver emails: [email provider — to be added].
  • The hosting provider of the site, the licence server and its backups: [hosting provider and country — to be added].
  • Authorities, where the law requires it.

We don’t sell your data or share it for advertising.

4. International transfers

Some of these providers may process data outside your country. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards the law requires, such as standard contractual clauses: [where data is processed and the safeguards used — to be added].

5. How long we keep it

  • Licence records: while your licence exists and for [retention period after it ends — to be added] afterwards, for support, refunds and accounting.
  • Download counts: as long as the licence record.
  • Server logs: [log retention period — to be added].
  • Backups of the licence database: [backup retention period — to be added].

6. Security

The licence server is reached only over HTTPS, stores keys as hashes, keeps keys out of its logs and limits failed attempts. Access to its data is limited to the people who run the service.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive a copy, or object to or restrict how we use it. Deleting your licence data ends the licence’s registry access, and we may keep what tax or accounting law requires. Write to [contact email — to be added]; we answer within a month. You can also complain to your data protection authority.

8. Children

snow-ui Pro is a tool for developers and isn’t meant for children.

9. Changes

We will update this page when what we collect changes, and change the date at the top.
